Spain is a great market that caters for
sunshine lovers, beach worshippers and
friendly locals. Whether it be
windsurfing in Costa Teguise, mountain
climbing in Tenerife or simply watching
the luxury boats of Puerto Banus sail
into the sunset, Spain has it all for
everyone to enjoy.
Lanzarote
Known for its volcanic landscape, the
island features the busy resort of
Puerto del Carmen, which offers great
nightlife but varied selection of
restaurants during the day. Costa
Teguise is known for the surfers that
venture down during the year, as well as
the famous Water Park! What was once a
sleeping fishing village is now the most
picturesque on the island – Playa
Blanca. Four and Five star hotels hog
the coastline with eating out in the
harbour a must.
Tenerife
Mount Teide stands out from the moment
you enter the flying space at Tenerife
Reina Sofia Airport. The largest of the
Canary Islands but probably the most
unique. In one hand you have golden
beaches, Five star accommodation and
traditional Spanish cuisine – and the
other you have buzzing nightlife, array
of local bars and water sports galore!
Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas
and Costa Adeje all roll into one
rollercoaster of a holiday!
Gran Canaria
Playa del Ingles is known for its great
nightlife and easily accessible beaches.
Many restaurants to choose from with the
famous sand dunes of Maspalomas within
range. Whether it be a nice, quiet and
relaxing break or lazy days on the beach
and a few glasses of tequila in the
evening, Gran Canaria has it all. For
those wanting glorious views of the sea
and access to many shops, look no
further than Puerto Rico. Amazing marina
and Water Park as well as Canarian
restaurants and local bars to choose
from in the evenings.
Fuerteventura
Miles upon miles of untouched golden
sand makes this island the most relaxing
of the four islands. Calete de Fuste
offers scuba diving, weekly markets, and
good choice of bars, clubs and
restaurants. Corralejo is becoming the
premier tourist hotspot on the island,
with an array of water sports and beach
loving holiday makers galore. Catch the
ferry to Lanzarote for a day out
shopping in Playa Blanca. For those
really wanting to experience fine
beaches, Jandia is the place to go. 32
kilometers of glorious white sand are
absolutely breathtaking.
Costa del Sol
Known to many as the ‘Sun Coast’, the
Costa del Sol offers sun, sea and sand.
Whether you venture to the plush marina
of Puerto Banus or simply pop in and out
of Torremolinos’ bars and clubs, there
is something for everyone. Benalmadena
offers many international restaurants,
as well as access to the sandy beach.
Fuengirola has the regions longest
stretch of beach however, at just over 7
kilometres long. Golf courses are easily
accessible from either of the major
resorts. |
